Brandee was born in Council Bluffs Iowa on November 3, 1977 to Paula and Gerald Gillman. She lived in Council Bluffs with her family until August 1986 when she moved with her Mother and Siblings to Ralston, Nebraska.

She attended school in the Westside School District from Elementary through Junior High. Upon reaching her High School years she came back to the Ralston School District, graduating in 1999.

During her school age years she spent 6 weeks each summer in day camp at Munroe Meyer Institute (Hattie B. Munroe) where she made many friends and touched the lives of volunteers.

As an Adult she went to Bethpage Day Service where in January 2000, Heather Mize Reynolds was chosen to be her one on one care provider. It was a challenging year for both of them, but soon Brandee won over Heather’s heart. She also started participating in Munroe Meyer Adult Recreation Program in the evening.

While Heather was her one on one at Day Service, she also provided respite care for Paula until March of 2005 at this time Paula and Heather’s rolls reversed. Heather became Brandee’s Host Mom and Paula began doing respite for her. Heather and Brandee have shared their home and life since then.

What a blessed life Brandee Sue has had. What a ray of spunky sunshine she has been to all that knew her. There is another Angel around the Throne tonight…
