Survived by loving wife LaMae of 61 years, daughter Cheryl Simon of Lincoln, NE, son Jerry (Tonia) Hamblen of Omaha, daughter Cynthia Hamblen of Omaha, and son Jeffrey (Wendy) Hamblen of Castana, IA; 10 grandchildren Michaela (Jeff) Turgeon of Omaha, Elizabeth Simon (T.J.) of Omaha, Richard (Brittany) Simon of Omaha, Jeffrey Hamblen Jr. of Sergeant Bluff, IA, Jeremy Hamblen of Sioux City, IA, Victoria Hamblen of Olathe, KS, Austin Hamblen of Omaha, Noah Hamblen of Omaha, Alexander Nordin of Omaha, and Sarah Nordin of Omaha; sisters Juanita (Dale) Argotsinger of Aurora, CO and Donna Gibson of Blair, NE; many other family members and friends.

Kenneth was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was born in Vail, IA and was raised on the family farm. He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison, IA. He was a member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Omaha. Kenneth and LaMae were married in 1955 and moved to Denison, IA. He worked as a lineman for the city of Denison. Kenneth and LaMae then moved to Omaha in 1961 and he worked as an electrician. He became disabled at age 55 due to heart problems. He enjoyed politics, historical shows, and horse racing (but never gave away his handicapping secrets). He taught his children about electrical wiring, auto mechanics, home repair, and finance. Hard work and responsibility were rewarded. Kenneth will be missed.
